HOLY WEEK

Grace and peace be unto you all.

A blessed Holy Week to you all. Now I realize that you all do not share the same beliefs. Some of you come from traditions that observe Holy Week with worship on Maunday Thursday, Good Friday and Easter. Others of you come from traditions that do not observe Thursday and Friday but simply focus on Easter. Then there are your personal traditions and practices.

Some will worship, some will go out to Brunch without worshiping. Some will chase the Easter bunny and tell the kids that the true meaning of Easter is love without mentioning God.

Now having said all that I simply want to point you to a web page where the author muses about the question people both in and out of the church have asked. Why do we call Good Friday good?

Read it and then watch the animations at the end which are well done.

Easter Sunday will include 2 worship services, an Easter Breakfast put on by the men's group and an egg hunt. After all of that I'm driving down to Littleton, CO (6.5 hour's away) to be with Laura's family for a short visit. I'll get to play grandpa a bit but mostly I'm going to see about repairing the blown over fence in their backyard.

What is nice about living here in Riverton is that I CAN drive down to Littleton if I want. Las Cruces was 10.5 hours away.

Well whatever your tradition may you have a Blessed Holy week and celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ from death to life. God loves you.

Shalom.
